The New York Botanical Garden Plants of COLORADO Grindelia subalpina E. Greene CO: Larimer Co. Along US 287, rest area just S of Colorado - Wyoming state line, Virgina Dale Historic Marker. Plants growing in rocky soil in area between hwy and road for rest area. Common, scattered individuals. 1.2-2.0 ft. tall; most past flowering stage. Plants with one main stem that branches from above the middle. Growing under pines, area does not appear to have been mowed.
