Vi The New York Botanical Garden Plants of WYOMING Grindelia subalpina E. Greene WY: Laramie Co. Along Interstate 80, W of Cheyenne, at Warren Rd. exit, plants at jet of Warren Rd. & Frontage Rd. Plants scarce in sandy soil along road shoulders and on roadside banks. 1.0-1.5 ft. tall. Most plants with 1-2 main stems arising from a taproot. Apparently perennial, some at least producing new rosettes on flowering plants. Growing with Helianthus, Aster, and other common weeds. Also growing Intermixed with Wetter 516A (G. squarrosa var. serrulata). Wetter 5i6A is tTTe predominant taxon at this location. Elev. 6200-6250 ft. Mark Allen Wetter 516B 03 Sep 1979 v»«- 02877699
