Plants common in gravelly soil at edge of
highway, restricted to within 1 m of edge of
road. Some in flower, others only in bud.
Many plants with insect galls on their stems.
A sample of plants from about 1000 ft. on
either side of hwy.
Rolling countryside dotted with Artemisia,
growing with Melilotus and various grasses.
Elev. 3400 ft.
