The New York Botanical Garden Plants of COLORADO Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. CO: Dolores Co. Along US 666, 0.9 mi E of Colorado-Utah state line. Plants common along gravelly hwy embankment, and shoulder. Scattered in both mowed and non-mowed areas. 1.0-2.5 ft. tall. Most well past flowering, young heads are very resinous. Growing intermixed and hybridizing (Wetter 579-80) with Wetter 580, G. arizonica var. stenophylla. Elev. 6800-7000 ft. Mark Allen Wetter 579 19 Sep 1979 02877459
