at Portland.
Plants common but clumped in red, clay soil
along hwy shoulder. Individual plants forming
small clumps. 1.5-2.0 ft. tall. In some cases
clumps made up of many single stemmed individ-
uals. In full flower, some leaning over, may
have been hit with a car. Elev. 7300 ft.
