Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. CO. San Miguel Co.: along CO 145, 5.9 ml NW of jct CO 145 & CO 62 at Placerville, 11.9 mi SE of San Miguel-Montrose Co. line. Plants very common along rocky pullout area and along shoulder of hwy. 1.4-2.0 ft. tall. Most appear to be biennial, none forming new rosettes on flowering plants. Most with only 1 stem, few with multiple stems from the base. Usual roadside weeds present. T44N, R12W Elev. 6950 ft. Mark Allen Wetter 974 27 Aug 1986 Univ. of Wisconsin Herbarium (WIS).
