The New York Botanical Garden 'ZSl Plants of COLORADO Grindelia sauarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. CO: Dolores Co., Along US 666, ca. 200 ft. E of Colorado-Utah state line. Plants widely scattered in rocky soil along hwy shoulder, growing right at edge of pavement. 0.5-1.0 ft. tall, most plants appear to have been injured by mowing. Apparently biennial, none seen forming new rosettes on flowering plants. Growing with various weedy grasses. Also growing intermixed and apparently hybridizing (Wetter 719) with G. laciniata Rydb.
