Grindelia sguarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. CO: Mesa Co. Along CO 65, 7.55 mi NW of Mesa-Delta Co. line, 13.45 mi SE of jet CO 65 & CO 330. Plants scattered, not very common along hwy in rocky shoulder area, and along edge of gravel turnout. 3.0-5.6 dm tall. Most plants with multiple stems from a woody taproot. Apparently perennial, at least some forming rosettes on flowering plants. Growing in aspen-fir forest area. Elev. 9200-9400 ft. Mark Allen Wetter 874 01 Sep 1985 Univ. of Wisconsin Herbarium (WIS).
