Along US 160, at road- side picnic table/trash barrel site, a.9 mi *E of jet US 160 & CO 159, 14.2 mi E of jet US 160 & CO 150 (at Alamosa Co. line). Plants not at all numerous along rocky hwy shoulder and adjacent embankment. 4.8-6.4 dm tall. Plants with multiple stems from a woody rootstock. Apparently biennial. Growing intermixed with Wetter 856 (G. aohanactis). Wetter 856 is the predominant taxa at this location. NO hybrids found. Elev. 8500 ft.
