Plants of UTAH US Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal ^ var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. UT. San Juan Co.: along US 666, 6.5 mi W of UT-CO state line, 9.2 mi E of jet US 666 & US 191 at Monticello. Plants common along hwy shoulder in rocky soil and on sandy embankment. 0.7-1.5 ft. tall. Most with 1-several stems from the base. In full flower, apparently biennials, none seen forming new rosettes on flowering stems. Growing with various weedy grasses, and also growing intermixed with the radiate G* laciniata Rydb.
