Plants of COLORADO Grindelia scruarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. CO: Montrose Co. Along US 50, 5.7 ml W of Montrose-Gunnison Co. line, 1.5 mi W of Cimarron. Only one plant seen, growing right at edge of hwy shoulder, in very rocky substrate. Branching from the base. Only a couple of branches collected. Growing in same area as Wetter 870 (G. decumbens var. decumbens) but this taxon confined to embankment above the hwy, in sagebrush area. NO hybrids found. Elev. 7000-7200 ft.
