The New York Botanical Garden Plants of CANADA Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. quasiperennis Lunell Alberta: along Trans-Canada hwy 1, 1.6 mi E of jet TC-1 & Alberta hwy 3, 9.35 mi W of jet TC-1 & Alberta hwy 41N. Plants very common along hwy shoulder and bar ditch adjacent to litter barrel site. Plants growing in bunches. 1.0-1.5 ft. tall. Most with a single stem, a few with multiple stems from the base. Apparently biennial or weakly perennial. Heads very sticky. Growing with usual weeds in rocky soil. Mark Allen Wetter 444 Elev. 2100-2300 ft. 27 Jul 1979 02877179
