The New York Botanical Garden Plants of MONTANA Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. cfuaslperennls Lunell MT. Cascade Co.: in Great Falls, along US 87S, between 49th & 51st St. Plants growing in gravelly vacant lot. Very common, forming large clumps. 1.0-1.7 ft. tall. Many with multiple stems from the base. In flower, young heads very resinous. Some apparently perennial, flowering plants forming new rosettes. Growing with usual roadside weeds. Elev. 3400-3500 ft.
