The New York Botanical Garden Plants of CANADA Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. quasiperennls Lune11 Saskatchewan: along Trans-Canada hwy 1, at the Derringer-May Picnic area, this between Moose Jaw and Swift Current, 8.95 mi E of jet TC-1 & Sask. hwy 19N near Chaplin. Plants common, but scattered. 0.8-2.0 ft. tall. Some have been injured by mowing. Apparently biennial. Many with only 1 stem from the base. None in flower.
