Plants common in red, clay soil in roadside
ditch. Individual plants making large clumps,
up to 1-2 ft in diam.. Plants up to 2 ft tall.
Heads and leaves very resinous. Growing with
Helianthus, Ambrosia, Lactuca and various
grasses.
