Plants of TEXAS Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. nuda (Alph. Wood) A. Gray TX: Parker Co. Along TX FM 51, ca 1.4 mi SW of jet TX FM 51 & TX 199 in Springtown. Only a few plants seen growing along hwy shoulder and adjacent embankment in clayish soil. This area immediately after crossing a small creek [Browders Creek]. 3.0-3.9 ft. tall. Each with multiple stems from the base, forming small clumps. Just starting to flower. Common roadside weeds present. Elev. 850 ft.
