Along Interstate-70, 6.4 mi E of Colorado-Utah state line. Common but scattered in median area of Interstate-70 in gravelly, gray soil. 2.0-2.5 ft. tall, branching from base. Many plants forming new rosettes on flowering plants. Young heads in leaf axils. Very resinous. Growing with grasses, Helianthus, and other weeds. Growing intermixed with Wetter 568 (£. fastigiata).
