GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Kako River vicinity, above Kako Village,
near Camp 3, ca. 22 air km east of Tulameng summit (summit 1534m, N
5°33'27.r, W 60°59'34.7"). 521 m 5°34'25.1"N 60°47’47.3"W.
Brocchina and Stegolepis savanna with drier shrub islands around rock
outcrops. Erect herb. Leaves clustered at base of plant, acute.
Inflorescence scapose with flowers clustered at tips in heads. Calyx green,
corolla yellow. Silica sample. Adjacent to savanna collected on July 1,
but separated by a creek and scrub buffer.
