BOTANICAL GARDe1*, 02880174 PLANTS OF THE GUIANAS Cyperaceae Scleria verticillata Muhl. ex Willd. Det. M.T. Strong, 12011 GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Imbaimadai, less than 1km west of airfield. 5°42'30.8"N 60°18'5.4"W. Savanna bounded by gallery forest. Grading from areas of standing water to drier habitats with rock outcrops and shrubby vegetation islands. Recently burned. Forming clumps in thin soil around rock outcrops, recently burned.
