GUYANA. Cara Creek, along the banks and on small islands in creek, to
5°32'50.3"N, 60°53'47.9"W and 506 m elevation (south of Camp 4);
tributary of Kako River, near border with Venezuela. 543 m 5°32'43"N
60°54'9.8"W. Islands formed from gravel bars, prone to scouring, rich in
herbs and shrubs. Rock substrate of pink sandstone and red chert. Vine.
Leaves coriaceous. Inflorescence axillary racemes. Flowers green. Silica
sample.
