Grindelia lanceolata Nutt. var. havardil (Steyerm.) Wetter NM. Eddy Co.: along NM 137, 5.9 mi SW of jet NM 137 & US 285 NW of Carlsbad. Plants common along hwy and bank of a small stream in rocky (limestone), alluvial soil. 1-2-3.0 ft. tall. Most with multiple stems from the base, in full flower. Biennial or weakly perennial, only a few forming new rosettes on flowering stems. A very large population. T21S, R24E, S23 or 26 Elev. 3600-3800 ft.
