The New York Botanical Garden Plants of TEXAS Grindel1a lanceolata Nutt. var. havardii (Steyerm.) Wetter TX: Culberson Co. Guadulpe Mts. National Park, McKittrick Canyon. Plants common but scattered in rocky (limestone) wash along stream, at maker no. 10 of Hiker Highlights makers, some growing in stream bed, others at base of adjacent cliff. 1.5-2.5 ft. tall, obviously perennial from woody rootstock, some with persistent stalks from year before.
