Plants common along hwy shoulder and area adjacent to trash barrels, also scattered in vegetation away from hwy. 1.0-2.0 ft. tall. None in flower, only in bud stage, young heads very sticky. One individual with large taproot forming a large clump, ca. 1 ft. in diam. Growing with various grasses, Melilotus, Helianthus, and other weeds. Elev. 6800-7000 ft.
