UT: San Juan Co. Along US 666, 4.1 mi W of Utah-Colorado state line, 11.8 mi E of jct US 666 & US 191 at Monticello.
Plants scattered in rocky, clay soil on hwy
shoulder and adjacent gravel road shoulder.
Perennials, with 1-several stems from the
base. 1.0-1.5 ft. tall. Growing in
sagebrush-juniper area.
Medium heads, recurved bracts.
Plants intermediate between G. laciniata
Rydb. (Wetter & Delendick 776A) and G.
sauarrosa (Pursh) Duanl var. serrulata
(Rydb.) Steyerm. (Wetter & Delendick 776D).
Both this collection and Wetter & Delendick
776B are intermediate between the parents.
(Note: plants were pressed at BKL several
days after they were collected)
