Plants common in rocky soil along hwy
shoulder. 1.0—2.0 ft tall. Apparently
perennial, with flowering plants forming new
rosettes. Most plants with multiple stems
from a woody taproot. Growing with various
weedy grasses. Also growing intermixed and
apparently hybridizing (Wetter 719) with G.
sauarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. serrulata
(Rydb.) Steyerm. (Wetter 718). Wetter 717 is
the predominant taxon at this location.
