Plants common along rocky shoulder and on sandy embankment. 0.5 1.5 ft. .tall. Most plants with 1-several stems from the base. Apparently perennials. Most well past flowering. Growing with various weedy rasses, ragweed, Melilotus, and also growing intermixed with the radiate G. squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. (Wetter 982).
