The New York Botanical Garden Plants of COLORADO Grindelia fastigiata E. Greene CO: Mesa Co. Colorado National Monument, 1.4 mi E of Highland view area on Rim Rock Drive. Plants common in rocky soil along hwy shoulder 1.5-2.5 ft. tall, one plant forming large multi stemmed clump, others with 1-2 stems. Perennial from woody taproot, many also with new basal rosettes.
