GEOLocate Web Application. Coordinates were determined by measuring 6.4 mi E along Interstate 70 from Colorado-Utah border. Geographic radial was calculated as the distance Colorado-Utah border to 'Welcome to Utah' sign. Final uncertainty was found using the MaNIS Georef. Calc.

568 The New York Botanical Garden Plants of COLORADO Grindelia fastigi ata E. Greene CO: Mesa Co. Along Interstate-70, 6.4 mi E of Colorado-Utah state line. Common but scattered in median area of Interstate-70, in gravelly, gray soil. Only one plant in flower, 1.5 ft. tall. Evidence of mowing, 2-3 basal rosettes present, but infested with caterpillars. Growing intermixed with Wetter 567 (£. squarrosa), and also probably hybridizing with it. Plants of Metter 567 show some genetic influence from £. fastigiata.
