The New York Botanical Garden Plants of COLORADO Grindelia decumbens E. Greene var. decumbens CO. Montrose Co. Along US 50, 5.3 mi W of Montrose-Gunnison Co. line, 0.5 mi W of Cimarron, 3.6 mi E of Cerro Summit. Plants common in hard clay soil on flat areas at top of embankment. Scattered, obviously perennial, with basal rosettes forming on flowering plants. Most plants growing in small drainage channels, almost hidden by sagebrush. Elev. 5900 ft. Plants 1.0-2.0 ft. tall.
