CO. Montezuma Co.: along CO 184, 13.75 mi NW of jct CO 184 & US 160 at Mancos, 2.35 mi SE of jct CO 184 & CO 145 near Dolores.
Plants scattered along hwy shoulder and along
rocky edges of an irrigation ditch. Only a
few plants found. 0.8-1.2 ft. tall.
Intermediate between the parents in head size
and morphology. Some plants appear to be
perennial.
Parents are the radiate G. squarrosa (Pursh)
Dunal var. serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. (Wetter
967) and the radiate G. arizonica A. Gray
var. stenophylla Steyerm. (Wetter 969).
