Kansas State University Plants of NEW MEXICO Grindelia artzonica A, Gray var- stenophylla Steyerm, NM: Catron Co., along US 180, 29.8 mi N of the Catron-Grant Co. line, in the San Francisco Mts. Plants locally abundant along a rocky road- cut in gravelly-loam soil. Some plants apparently perennial with new rosettes on flowering stems. Heads not very sticky. Close (0.2 mi) to a population of G. aphanactis (Freeman & Wetter 2143), no Hybrids found. 14 August 1983 Collectors: Craig C, Freeman & No. 2142 Mark A. Wetter 02876242
