Along US 64/84 NW of Chama, 3.5 mi SE of where US 64/84 divide. Plants very numerous in sandy, rocky soil along hwy shoulder. 1.0-1.5 ft. tall, young heads sticky. Apparently annuals, none seen with last year's stems. Growing with various grasses and other weeds. Also growing with G^. arizonica var. stenophylla (Wetter 704).
