jet US 160 & CO 17, 8.7 mi W of jet US 160 &
CO 150 at Costilla Co. line.
Plants common in sandy soil along hwy and in
bar ditch. Up to 2.5 ft. tall. Apparently
biennials, none found forming new rosettes.
Main heads just starting to flower, young
buds very resinous. Growing intermixed with
the radiate G. squarrosa (Pursh) Duanl var.
serrulata (Rydb.) Steyerm. (Wetter 813), not
as common as Wetter 813.
