scaly; rays 9-11, cuneate, here red w/
lobes gold-tipped (others gold to basal
1/3); disk lobes setose attenuate, style
appendage papillose attenuate; fruiting
capitula like hairy balls; cypselae
sericeous, pappus scales 5 aristate.
