GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Cara Creek, along the banks and on small
islands in creek, to 5°32'50.3"N, 60°53'47.9"W and 506 m elevation
(south of Camp 4); tributary of Kako River, near border witl; \ cnezuela.
543 m. 5°32'43"N 60°54'9.8"W. Islands formed from gravel bars, prone
to scouring, rich in herbs and shrubs. Rock substrate of pink sandstone
and red chert. Herb 0.5m. In gravel bars. Leaf bases beige. Leaves
subtending inflorescence beige-purple. Inflorescence to lm. Palea/lemma
pilose, nutlets brown. Silica sample.
