    Annual; culm ascending from decumbent base; spikelets with 1 perfect floret, the second floret much reduced; glumes long, 15-35 mm but ± than the lemma awns, stiff. Noxious weed, bright green, lies down when dry. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
