of Monmouth, W side of OR Rt. 223 (Kings Valley
Highway), 0-0.6 mi N of jet. with Shady Lane Road, ca. 3
mi due N of Pedee. Willamette Valley (N end
McTimmonds Valley). Elev. ca. 132 m. Silty clay loam,
disturbed. Probably some weathered volcanic ash.
Old field, open vegetation with grasses, scattered shrubs,
border of conifer plantings (tree farm) and secondary
forest. Along intermittently moist ditch, near Sidalcea
campestris, Rubus laciniatus. Abundant shrub 1-1.5 m
tall, flowers rose-pink (only 1 flower seen, most in fruit),
fruit green; leaves pale glaucous beneath. Forming
hedgerow-thicket.
