Habitat
Area of forest with sparse individuals 35-45 m tall, and sparse undercanopy, on the right margin of the river.

Description
Treelets sparsely branched, 5-7 m tall. Leaves papyraceous, dark green above. Sterile. Some old fruits found on the ground, with thin (2-3 mm thick), woody. Exocarp, about 5-7 cm in diameter, eaten by rodents (possibly paca). Common name: Purui-de-casca-dura.
