GUYANA. Kako River vicinity, above Kako Village, near Camp 3, ca.
22 air km east of Tulameng summit (summit 1534m, N 5°33'27.1", W
60°59'34.7"). 521 m 5°34'25.1"N 60°47'47.3"W. Brocchina and
Stegolepis savanna with drier shrub islands around rock outcrops. Shrub
to 3m. Underside of leaves pubescent. Inflorescence axillary, spicate.
Calyx tan, corolla cream. Silica sample. Adjacent to savanna collected
on July 1, but separated by a creek and scrub buffer.
