Leon County: plants with 1-numerous main
stems, variable in height to approximately 2m.
Capitulescences erect-secund. Corollas white.
Very abundant in a wide band on upper exposed
sandy shores of pond (at times of low water
level), Little Lost Lake, Apalachicola Nation-
al Forest, 1 mile to W of Spring Hill Road,
generally SW of Tallahassee. Some associates:
Polypremum prodambens, Ludwigia suffruticosa,
Amphicarpus mufilenBergianum, Eriocaulon lineare.
