Eupatorium hyssopifolium L.
Leon County: common in upland, annually burned,
open pineland, Tall Timbers Research Station.
Some associates: Liatris graminifolia, Elephan-
topus elatus, Callicarpa americana, Helianthus
angustifolia, H. strumosus, H. hirsutus, Vernonia
angustifolia, Erianthus contortus, Agaratina
aromatica, and others.
This is the very narrow-leaved, sexual diploid of
E. hyssopifolium sens. lat. and it has a very
small geographic range compared to other variants
of much broader range which are, in so far as
I know, polyploid and agamospermic.
