leaf Used for gardening practices, especially
taro. Two to three leaves are placed in the cav-
ity where taro is planted. Afterwards the taro is
planted on top of the leaves. This practice is con-
sidered to fortify the plant.

Liana, stem girth 3 cm. Flowers white, fruits green to
red. Growing in rain forest damaged by Cyclone Pam
(previously primary forest). DNA, digital image.
