leaves and spit the leaves on the baby’s body to
stop him or her from crying.
leaf Women incorporate this plant into their
grass skirt when attending traditional cere-
monies. During traditional ceremonies, attendees
will dance vigorously. This plant is highly aro-
matic and once they begin to dance they will waft
the scent of the plant into the air. It is done for
pleasure and to avoid unpleasant odors body that
would result from sweating.
