Naknao [Natuar] leaf If a person has a cut on their body, take a mouthfull of these leaves and chew, wrap in Macaranga dioica leaves, put in fire to heat, and squeeze juice that comes out on the cut. Use 4x daily for as long as needed to heal the wound. stem The stems of this plant are cut to 2 ft. long pieces, sharpened and used to throw at flying foxes to knock them out of the air. stem To harvest kava (Piper methysticum), sharpen a 2 ft. long stem and scrape soil away from the kava. This method won’t disturb the roots of the kava like a shovel does, so use sharp- ened stick to harvest this root. stem Use stems of this plant to fashion the limbs of hunting bows.. stem This species yields a good firewood.
