exudate Children try to catch birds using this
species. Take the sap from the stem and cover all
of a stick that is about 20 cm. long with several
layers of the sap until the stick is quite adhesive.
Then insert the stick into a ripe banana on a tree
or a papaya-when a bird sits on the stick to feed
on the fruit then it gets stuck and can’t fly away.
Children climb the tree and grab the bird.
stem The wood is strong and can be used to
make house posts.
