leaf This plant is used as a purgative. 6 to 8
green leaves are mixed in one liter of water. One
liter is consumed daily for 3 to 4 days, depending
on the severity of the stomach pain.
leaf The leaves of this plant are burned in the
process of planting a special yam known as
kuarai neau. A branch of green leaves are burned
in the planting hole before mounding and plant-
ing.
