Nee, 2006 New York State, Bronx Co., Bronx, Mosholu Parkway East and Marion Ave., between Mosholu Parkway East and Mosholu Parkway. 40°52’13.5”N, 73°52’54”W. alt. 73 ft. Cultivated ornamental with several others in parkland. Small tree 6 m. tall, 35 cm. in diameter, with wide- spreading crown of arching branches. Same plant collected with mature leaves and a few fruits on 1 Oct. 2006 under no. Nee 54673. In full bloom; petals pink in bud but white when flowers open; unopened anthers purple, the open ones black; filaments white; styles and interior of hypanthium light yellow-green. Coll.: M.
