Trees and shrubs damaged during unusually early storm with heavy, wet snow while plants still in full leaf. 1876/95 B PT L 1876/95 Princeton Nurseries Treelet 7 m. tall, 18 cm in diameter; fully leafed out and blooming; calyx deep rose red; petals pink on outside in bud, white with tinge of pink outside in anthesis; filaments white.
