Small tree, to 12 ft. Grayish brown bark. Petals white; anthers very
pale yellow; hypantheum center orange-yellow. Very common.
Growing in a brushy 21 year old old-field with Artemisia vulgarus,
Juniperus virginiana, Elaeagnus umbellata, and Malus.
