In the Synoptical Flora, page 416, this is referred to as a pos- I
gible hybrid of C. cuneatus and crassifolius, and in my notes, ]
probably taken from a specimen in^he herbarium of the Uni- j
versity of California, I have writte^^aid . to be a hybrid with
C. cordulatus.” It certainly is not fc Biybrid here, for no other
member of the genus grows in the vicinity. The type came
from “borders of pine forests on f&e mountains near Tehachapi,
Kern Co., Calif.”	'	? s
